STOP CONDEMNATION … GIVE CHANCES!!!!
Condemnation won’t really change people but it has a way of making people more mean than u met them; it makes them feel you just wanna talk and not help. People are liable to be convinced to change when they have been listened to without been condemned. We all want someone who will share our thoughts even when we know we are close to being wrong. Most times in life it’s not about the fact that someone gave us support that convince us to take positive decision, it’s the fact that someone gave us a that all you are saying is not worth listening to.
A time will come when a lot of people in the world will be civilized in their own way and we will have masses of angry people… and research will show that it all started when humans derive pleasure in condemning others than giving them chances. Whose fault will it be then?
A research published by Psychology world shows that eighty percent (80%) of teenagers who are liable to become psychopaths, will become it due to the fact that parents don’t listen a little, they talk more, nag more and definitely condemn them more; then environment never gave them good reason to change either.
So, how do we find balance between condemning people and giving them chances? I feel if you can’t find a way to make people know that what they did is wrong without condemning them, then do not talk about it. We have many people who are not ready to do the right thing anymore because a lot of them have been condemned by others without putting themselves in their shoes.
Imagine that teenage mother you treated with disdain because you felt she’s too young to be a mother, you never really know if the pregnancy was a product of rape. Or that little girl you know has attitude problem and all you ever said is “she is got attitude; I can’t associate with her”. Have you ever wondered why people do what they do at times? Maybe you should today because it will make you see reasons why you need to give people chances.
If we don’t learn to give people chances, they won’t know they need to learn from their mistakes, they will think their mistake is meant to kill them, or rather, push them away because we never treated them the right way. Every person is different from the attitude they show. The world only need people who will bring out the great attitude in others and help overcome the bad attitude in them with love and not condemnation.
People have died; a lot will still die, if we don’t learn to give chances to people. People commit suicide everyday because they got tired of been condemned.
Marriages will be harmonious only when both parties learn to give each other chances; learning to compromise on individual rights and life will be full of people who are ready to change from negative attitude to positive ones, if only we learn to give chances to one another.
Stop condemnation, start giving chances!
