I’m belong to Africa and I am a great fan of the elected president of the United State, Trump. Also I do not buy the idea of most things he says about Africans at times or should I say most of the things he says or write are just some misconception about us. Every one knows that you can not judge a tree by it first fruit neither can you judge a group of people by just two or three people from an ethnic group.
One thing I do believe is before you can judge a society, you need to have had an intimate connection with about seventy percent of them, truth be told forty percent of Africans are not in the USA, so my question is how then can Donald Trump be right about some of his assumptions he makes Africans, but on a second thought, I do not see them as assumption I see them as misconception.
Below are some of the misconception I do not believe in, even though I’m a die hard fan of Donald Trump.
1. Black are stealing our jobs.
This statement was made during the second stage of the presidential debates, when the now elected of president of the United States was lining out reasons while he should be voted as the president of USA, first and foremost black are not stealing their jobs. Black are surviving on what ever jobs you provide for them. Black are doing old job to survive. A good example is that of taraji hypeson, who is now a movie star. Her first role that escalated Her career was the role of a nanny in an American series. Blacks are cleaners, drivers, nannies, cooks and those who school over there also work to maintain a good standard of living so I do not buy the neither do I accept the point that blacks are stealing their jobs. Few blacks are doctors, engineers, these people face a lot to survive in your land. Racism and lot of brutal acts is part of the issues they face daily.
2. Most illegal immigrants are blacks.
I have a lot of problems with this view of his, when he said black are the highest illegal immigrants in the United States, the people he was talking about is Nigerians, well I think base on statistic Nigerian are not the highest number of illegal immigrants, check out the Cameroonians, the Saudi Arabians, all these people are closer to the United States compared to Nigeria which is far away from USA in the world’s map. Though I saw this point as part of the politics he needed to play but I do not like the idea of messing with the integrity of my country men.
3.Black are the largest in the wards.
The American prison presently contains more white than black. Mr president, I would love to say you forgot to add the fact that when a black man and a white man commits the same crime, they are not placed on the same trial. The trial the black man is placed on is definitely longer than that of the white man, because at every point of crime committed by a black in the United States, they are first seen as illegal immigrants whether that is true or not and the main offence is added to that offence of them being a stranger in a land that do not welcome them.
4. Black people are lazy.
This is one of the greatest lies I have come across in the history of men’s surviver, the now elected president of the United States said “black are lazy people ” he was virtually categorizing all black as lazy. I’m black and I’m not lazy, also there are lot of blacks out there who are very hardworking. Some of those blacks are the one making some difficult jobs which the white can not afford to fix get fixed . So Mr president, I will love to say blacks are not lazy and peradventure we have blacks who are lazy, it is definitely not all of us.
5. Black are not wanted in their own countries.
The now elected president of the United States said this ” Hillary Clinton allows those people into our country, they are stealing our jobs, stealing our peace of mind and most importantly, these people are not welcomed in their own societies! ” . With all due respect sir, no citizen of a country is ever out of bound from his country, he may be a fugitive in his country or a convicts but he or she is never out of bound to his country. That is his place of origination and he has every right to be valued at every moment of his staying. Time and circumstances might not permit him to free as he ought but he is never out of bound to his society.
