FIVE NIGERIANS WHO MIGHT NEVER BE CELEBS IF NOT FOR REALITY SHOW.

I was chanced to meet few Nigeria celebrities lately and those few I have met with, I really do have a lot of respect for them and I appreciate what they do especially those in the Music Industry. So I know some of them might never be celebrated. Music is life and those who gives their lives to doing things are music are making the earth more interesting to be in, even though we have a lot of songs that one can hardly give any meaning to in Nigeria; notwithstanding, I gave them the credit because of the great and wonderful artist whom I happen to respect a lot.
Today I will be discussing about five celebrities who are celebrities today because they attended reality shows like big brother Africa, big brother Nigeria, American idol and Nigeria idol; I doubt if any Nigerian has ever made it to the American Idol?. Well I am not sure about it.

1.Timi Dakolo.

This is the first person on my list, since he became a celebrity; of course he has being someone who has actually influence the Music Industry positively, he is not like some Nigeria artist who releases what has no meaning and call it music… Lol.
Dakolo  was born January 20, 1981. He emerged winner of the inaugural season of Idols West Africa in 2007. With his victory, he got a recording contract with Sony BMG, in addition to other prizes. He was given birth to in Accra, but to a Nigeria father who is from Bayelsa. If Timi had never gone for the inaugural idol, there is just a little probability of him being as famous as he is right now.

2. Efe Nation.

I happened not to even know anything about him which was tangible or of great relevance except that he has being to different reality which did not make him famous enough to be a celebrity.
I read recently he released about two to three songs which was never a hit until he went in for the big brother naija, Efe emerged as the winner of Big brother Naija in the year 2017 and he made a release of a song titled “based on logistics” this song has a collaboration with our very mega super star ibile artist, Olamide and since then Efe has made an history in the celebrity world.

3. Omawunmi.

So I never had the chance to hear so much news about her until she came second runner up in the inaugural season of Idol West Africa in 2007. After which she released many songs which was a hit ” Her first hit song was “Na who I go ask?! This song of hers was really a hit song because it addresses so many area of our lives and it touched the emotion of almost any one who listened to it.
Her sophomore album, The Lasso of Truth, was reported to be a commercial success in Nigeria.

4. Uti Uwachukwu.

Uti has never being popular, lot of Nigerians do not know anything about him, then we started building a fan page for him when he was in for the Big Africa season 3, then he has a Nigeria fan personality which has being holding him till now.
Uti is the 25-year-old representative from Nigeria in Big Brother Africa 3. He became the third evictee of Big Brother Africa 3 house on 5 October 2008 (Day 42). During his stay Uti was known for often teasing his fellow housemates (mostly Mimi and Thami). During Namibian housemate Lucille’s eviction Uti had a violent out burst upon learning that she had been evicted.

In 2010 Uti competed as a contestant in Big Brother Africa 5: All-Stars in which he lasted 91 days and ultimately won by defeating Munya is a final vote of 8 to 7.
After then we started seeing and hearing about him around the world. He was a TV personal for jara for a while. Thanks to big brother Africa.

5. Iyanya.

The Naija body built artist Iyanya happens to have entered into the heart of many Nigerians and of course Project fame was the great reason for this.
The artist who is know by his mononym, Iyanya, is a Nigeria singer, songwriter, and performer. He rose to fame after winning the first season of Project Fame West Africa, and is best known for his hit single “Kukere”.  He co-founded the record label Made Men Music Group with Ubi Franklin in 2011. He released his debut studio album, My Story, in 2011. It was supported by the singles “No Time” and “Love Truly”. Desire, his second studio album.
