FIVE NIGERIA MOVIES YOU SHOULDN’T WATCH.

Lately, I have being getting a lot of messages from Gimmehearers, sorry for the fact that I haven’t written much article in recent time. I have being having so much tied to my hands. I promise to make this interesting and refreshing.

How many of you have watched Nigeria movies, and you felt like you wasted your time? Well I’m one of those people that have fallen a victim to such situation. Today, I will be discussing on five Nigeria movie you should not border watching and if you have watched them, you might really need to work on your self to erase them from your head.

1. Jenifa’s dairy.

This is a comedy seasonal Yoruba/English movie which the main character is Funke Akindele Bello. The Nigeria female actress who recently had a scandal with avengers “Star wars”. I watched the movie from the scratch, but I had to stop at the episode three or four of the first season. I realised I was never going to gain anything relating to knowledge, a comedy movie shouldn’t just make you laugh, it should make you learn. A typical example of comedy seasonal movie is the Big Bang Theory, it is funny, epic and of course you gain more knowledge about science and other things. With this point of mine, I believe watching Jenifa’s diary is a waste of time and to be candid with you, that movie is never gonna end if people keep watching it. It is deteriorating people’s level of spoken English and I see no reason why anyone in their right senses should be a fan of it. Jenifa’s is just a meaningless movie of rubbish occurrence we see daily, watch something more spectacular.

2. Wedding party 2.

I watched the first part of Wedding party, I didn’t see what was interesting about it. I have heard from people who felt the first part of wedding part was a waste of their time, once in a while we need to waste time, so I was not really hurt. Let be frank with ourselves, there are movies which are far better compared to “The wedding part”. The only reason I went for the wedding party was because of the group of actors and actresses who were present in the wedding party, but seriously I was disappointed in the script, I won’t say because of the actors and actresses, I have watched movies of Madam Sola Showbowale and it was awesome, likewise Richard Mofe Damijo and lots of other in the cast of wedding party. So when there was an announcement that there will be a second part for it, I told myself how awesome of a waste of time it would be, correctly I was not wrong. Those of us who happened to have watched it can testify. Recently I read that about two hundred million Naria profit was made from “The wedding party ” part two. We have other great movies which are better than the wedding party, but you and I keep making it worse for those movies to be recognized when we decide to watch movies that ain’t worth it.

3. Ten Days in Sun City.

Most Nigerians do not like watching Nigeria movies, this is not because they don’t believe in our actors and actresses, this is because they don’t want to waste their time. I will love to blame a friend who gave me this movie to watch, to be frank, I forwarded the movie from the beginning to the end. I virtually saw nothing spectacular about it, in fact the same way I was angry about Thirty Days in Atlanta was the same way I was furious about Ten Days in Sun City. The first thing is that the title is wrong for the movie, where is the sun city? That makes me hate Nigerian movies even more. It was a total waste of time, I can’t speak for Adesuwa Ewatomi but I can bluntly say Ay comedian should stop acting, just stay in your area of comedy.

4. Alakada Reloaded.

The first time I heard about this Alakada Reloaded, I took off to google to check who the minister for entertainment is, but I was not heart broken when I found out it was someone who was never gonna be effective in the entertainment industry. Alakada reloaded is just as full of rubbish as Jenifa’s dairy, the only difference between the both movies is that, in “Alakada reloaded ” you will really laugh but you won’t learn anything, secondly the movie is produced by two women who actually felt they are doing the right thing. If after watching a movie, I feel bad about my time, then the actor or actress has not tried or probably was not written by an intelligent person.

5. Rumour Has It.

I was a die hard fan of this movie right from season one , episode one, but getting on was really annoying, the first four episode was fun, not predictable and of course very interesting, but as the movie kept on going, I realized there will be no story to tell any more and watching it will be a great waste of my precious time. So I stopped, a lot of people who we started watching it together got tired along the line, but I stopped before I could get tired, there was no need wasting my precious time on something which could have being better if the script was written and scrutinized properly.
