I was in class today and a conversation was raised. What the common lie people say daily.
I laughed out loudly because I have written an article few months ago on this. So I decided to give it a share today
Below is five common lies people tell every day.
1. I Have Read & Agreed to the Above Terms and Conditions.
This is very common to everyone in every country in the world, the most people who abuse and miss use this is ‘Nigerians”
Have you been in a situation where you need to fill a form and you saw this “I Have Read & Agreed to the Above Terms and Conditions”
Then you clicked the signal that shows you have read and understood what is expected of you, meanwhile you have not read and most times some people might have read but really do not understand what they really need to do. Yet they clicked the signal that shows they read the rules, regulation and will abide by it.
2. I don’t tell lies.
God! This is the second most popular lie people tell. Just some minutes ago someone told me he doesn’t tell lies. How on earth can someone say they don’t tell lies. That’s a blatant lie. You will be in a conversation with people and they will say something like ” I hate telling lies. I have big issues with people who tell lies. I’m sure while reading article you told yourself ” I don’t tell lies but let me read what the author wrote”
3. I’m fine.
Well every body tell this lie. Imagine you ruining into someone whose face was swollen and you cared enough to ask what was wrong with them then the next thing they say is “I’m fine”.
I have gotten used to people telling this lies that I don’t even border to ask people what is wrong with them anytime I notice a change in their disposition or facial expressions. I promised myself I would smile towards them or hug them. Winks ” I just told a lie too.
4. Wow! You look great in that dress!
I don’t know while people tell this lie, but I have found myself in this situation several times too.
I saw this lady in a flowing gown and I was like Woo! You look so awesome in this dress,
Even though your inner heart says “hell no! You look like a clown”
Really? I’m not letting my friend go out looking ugly, go ahead, tell her! Or him, depends on how they roll. –
Great? Oh my, I think I need to clean my ears. I must’ve misheard the phrase “Worse than a clown” as “great”! – all this occurred before I gave my compliment but gave it anyways.
5. Don’t Worry! It Will Be Okay.
Well this type of lie is usually said to one by friends, lovers, and family members. Even when they know things will get worse, they will still tell you ” don’t worry it Will get better”
When I was little my dad would always tell me to love mathematical because it will get easier with time but “hell no” the higher I got the more difficult part of mathematics I had to learn.
